Anyone into this band / duo? Heard a couple of their tracks on the Dead Man's Shoes soundtrack and I'm intrigued. They sound to be an eclectic bunch to I need some pointer as to where I should begin.

Anything I've heard is pretty good. They've done some tracks with Iron and Wine that were decent and they've a very good version of Love's Alone Again Or.
Don't actually have any of their stuff, though.

I don't have any of their CDs but they have played a few shows with the Frames over here. It's not a duo its a band. A few years ago they toured with the Frames and when the Frames released For The Birds. When the Frames were doing What Happens When the Heart Just Stops, 2 of the Calexico peeps came out and played trumpet.. it was cool!
Then more recently they did a concert with them in Central Park. They have a few songs i was really into and I meant to get a cd but I didn't and now I can't remember which songs I liked.
They are from Arizona I believe.

Oh the Calexico/Iron and Wine collaboration at The Triple Door is amazing. They do a beautiful version of All Tomorrow's Parties.
Saw Calexico at Benicassim and they were great. They feature on the Bob Dylan soundtrack as well with Wille Nelson amongst others. I have Feast of Wire which is well worth a purchase.

Kezzers you really can't beat Garden Ruin in this sunshine. I've had Deep Down on repeat for 3 weeks now. I'm loving Calexico to new and insane levels. Even considering The End of the Road festival in september to see them, and also Sun Kil Moon and some more brilliance they've got going on, if I can find the cash and someone to go with me. Looks like a good little festi.
