It's a total shit hole bluey. Yeah I knew about it already, my friend sent me a text yesterday morning about it. To be honest, I'm not sure I can be arsed. I'm really skint and I've seen them so many times now. But maybe.

they aren't really on the rocket ship to stardom, are they. They toured with DG here in 2003, and they were here on their own in some smallish clubs 2 or 3 years ago, but as far as I know their newest album hasn't even got a US release date yet. Shame really.

Only listened to their latest album a few times but it's nothing out of the ordinary.
I think they hit on a good formula with the first album but it's been about diminishing returns ever since unfortunately.....

Couldn't agree more, michael. The first album is brilliant. Flawed, but brilliant. It seems the further they get from their humble roots (sort of discovered by accident after they did the music to a film, both totally shocked by the attention, never really planned to be in a band, etc) and the further they edge towards 'being musicians', the less interesting they become.
I'd argue the new album is better than the previous one though. And I loved Ether Song, despite the prog rock vibe they had going on in some of the songs. Rain City is a cracking song.

Didn't realise that was how they got together, Katy.
Must give Ether Song another spin some time, right enough.

Underdog's still a beauty of a tune, eh? That solo mesmerises me every time.

Oh, I'm loving their version of Wicked Game. Great, great song. Cheers Michael. Still think the last two albums were bollocks though.

i thought i read that they no longer have a record label? that's probably why they don't tour as much over here. it costs too much.

yup - they were here a couple of years ago touring the last album, but the new one's got no home in the US.
