I see he's supporting Bell X1 on the current tour. The name sounds vaguely familiar - did someone recommend him, here or at the other place? Should we make sure to get there in time to see him? The show's sold out, btw and it's only their first Boston gig.

TC knows him and did a lot of photography for him.
Bellx1 has a new distributor here in the US and they have a fantastic PR department. They have been getting tons of press, in newspapers and magazines. Doing a lot of radio interviews and also will be on Conan soon.
Also there are boatloads of newbies on the Frames board, especially the days right after the Oscars. And a lot were American. I posted a thread with the Bellx1 gigs for the newbies and a lot of the peeps said they would go!

I'll request it if he doesn't play it first.

no Meat Loaf covers, but he did play "Oh What A Night" as in Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I thought one cover was enough...
He was rather cranky at the loudly chatty audience. But really, supporting an Irish band in Boston on St Paddy's weekend? You're not likely to find a quiet, attentive audience.

sounds a bit like my gig on Saturday - playing a show in Wales when they've just won the Grand Slam (*still smug*) is hard work lol
