Excited about Grinderman, I have to say. That's gonna be feckin' awesome. I'll see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Grinderman in the space of 5 months.. yay. Don't think it's a great line-up yet, though, there's a strong singer-songwriter presence there (blah) as well as some weirdly-chosen small Irish bands (Large Mound, Boss Volenti). But I'm sure it'll get better.

Wilco are kinda swaying it for me but I saw them twice last year....Josh Ritter too and I don't know if there's anyone else in the line-up I would actually be dying to see if they played a gig on their own.
Minus column's still beefier than the plus column for me, I'm afraid.

Yeah. I'm very excited about Grinderman. And the Dublin Gospel Choir are always excellent. Ended up getting pissed with half of them the year before last. Not so good living.

I've never seen the Dublin Gospel Choir because they're always on on Sunday mornings and I usually still have my face welded to the groundsheet of my tent at that stage. I heard they performed at the launch last night, though, singing a selection of songs from the announced acts.

it's such a relaxed and lively festival. there's so much more to it than the music. i surrendered the neurotic attempts to get the coordinates right and make it round to everyone that sounded half decent. ended up we spending most of the time around the leviathan and comedy tents, traumatising the english mates with a good old fashion irish debate. 'b.b..but there were people there swearing at a government minister and everything'. heh heh.
