I think she's gonna do great things, I'd always hoped she'd do a solo album.
Love that Lille song on her myspace. Sounds like a soundtrack to a Terence Mallick film.

She has the most fantastic voice, in my opinion.

I'm sorry. I just can't do Lisa Hannigan. I get an overwhelming urge to grab her by the shoulders and yell "SING LOUDER!" in her face, repeatedly until I make her cry.

Hahaha! ;D
Funny, Katy, she has the opposite effect on me. She only gives away part of what she has, she plays it down and it makes me want more. And it keeps me interested, sort of...
Not sure how it will work on a whole album, though. Hope she'll release an album soon.

That's it exactly birch, but whereas you find it interesting, I just find it frustrating. And all together too breathy. I sort of want to put a pin on her chair or something. But she probably whispers screams too.
I know kez. I'm truly a horrible person.

she's great when she goes all falsetto and operatic like when she does eskimo friend live. wee hairs stand to attention on the back of the neck territory, but i can't have her as the meat and two drums. was curious to know if she had much going in the songwriting department, but on the basis of this, i fear mediocre bland shite. i'm delighted she has the confidence and belief in herself. that's the pity with a lot of folk though, isn't it.

Good interview with her there at a link on the same page that TC posted. Nice girl. Thought she might be up her own arse a bit but she's pretty down to earth.

not a bad tune, kez. i think i've identified the problem i have with her. her voice is so rich in melancholy, i'd have to restrict it to after dark and within the confines of a particular strain of brooding i try to avoid.

I see she's playing in Belfast in June. Might be tempted to swing along.....and totally not stalk her when she's in town....no, of course not.
