what do you think? my friend was in ireland a week ago and bought the cd because she saw it in a shop, and she got tickets to a nyc show this friday then she listened to the cd and wasn't loving it. but we will go to the show anyway because its at joe's pub which is a nice venue.

wouldn't know a lot, but like what i'm hearing. won't ever register on the greatest of all time greatest inoffenders list, but summat different from usual snivelling indigenous singer-sniffler brigade. this crowd have more than one emotion. hurrah.

Dyou know I actually think they're alright. They get slagged off a bit. They're sort of weird irish hip hop but done with tongue firmly in cheek.
I've seen them a couple of times and they're great to watch live if you're in the right mood. Would definitely go and see them Karen just to see something a bit different.
But yeah marg is right great antidote for the maudlin guitarist.

I've quite enjoyed their singles and would probably invest in an album. It's something different - r 'n' b with a Dublin twist.
A Commitments for the noughties. Not bad at all.

my friend said i don't have to pay her for the ticket so, being the cheapskate that i have had to be lately due to my crappy finances, i said yes! sounds like i will like it better if i have a few beers first.
same friend is trying to get snow patrol tix for dec 1. they're playing bowery ballroom which for them is a small place. it might sell out in 60 seconds though. we'll see. i told her if she gets 2 tickets i'll buy one of them.
