Anyone heard this guy?
Just downloaded 'Micah P Hinson and the Red Empire Orchestra'. Very good. Highly recommended. Off to go and buy his entire back catalogue now. Goodbye hard-earned cash.

he supported that guy David Gray a couple of tours back. I can't say I enjoyed him much - I mostly remember that he came out with a beer and a cigarette (which he stored under the guitar strings while not actually smoking it) and howled at us. Maybe it was a performance art thing ... that video sounds a lot better than what I recall.

Aye i mentioned him back in 2005 after picking up one of his cds on the search for some random new music 'Micah P.Hinson and the Gospel of Progress'. I haven't picked up anything of his since though, must have a wee looky.

Aye that's the one, Ange. Reckon that might be my favourite of his albums by a whisker. They are all excellent. Not heard his new album yet though.

You mean 'All dressed up and smelling of strangers'? It's an album of covers, you can listen to it on Spotify.

Yeah. I had this exact same conversation with someone else on another thread a while ago. I want to wait and get the album so I can put it on my iPod and have a proper listen to it. I don't have any kind of a music set-up with my computer. There's a few albums I need to get, I'm just totally financially bastardised at present.
