Nothing Gold Can Stay is fantastic. I implore you to buy it.
Really different from The Felice Brothers stuff, a whole lot more mellow and his voice is fab. Maybe it's me but I hear a bit of Donovan in it?? And Neil Young. It works beautifully though. Marvin Gaye has been mentioned too.

Yes ma'm! *salutes* Been a while since I bought a new album anyway so will see if I can get my hands on it. So The Duke and The King has something to do with The Felice Brothers, is it the same people?

Its Simone Felice from The Felice Brothers. There was a little article about him in Uncut recently where he spoke about how his wife had to deliver their baby stillborn and how it influenced how he wrote the album. Very sad.

The radio show was amazing. Apparently the drummer is the son of one of the original members of Funkadelic. Simone said "In our live shows we have 3, 4, even 5 part harmonies going on." Pretty impressive for a 4 piece band.
