Daisy Gray of course. My oldest used to call him Daisy when he was little and it's stuck!

Don't go. I went with my friend when he was playing Dublin in December 09, and not having listened to the last two albums didn't make it any better. There wasn't much of the old stuff, and the highlight was that Springsteen cover he did. Meh. Not worth the money.

Yeah bit flummoxed there for a minute! Who's Daisy? I went about 6 years ago for nostalgia's sake and didn't think it was much cop. He got annoyed at people shouting for Babylon (weeeell you did write it mate) and without Clune it all felt a little stale and boring. Pork pie hats and coordinated black shirt uniforms and a very serious downbeat tone with everyone sitting down and plucking at their guitars as though they weren't really bothered. Fair enough if he wants to go down a more serious route but Leonard Cohen he aint. Still, might be a larf if he's in the right mood!

Maybe he's pissed off that his star has faded. The *fame* highlight was probably his massive sell out show at the Point all those years ago. I think he was a lot better off when he was only really famous in Ireland, as soon as the rest of the world got in on the act it went a bit wrong for him God love him.

Might be fun to go though, just to see for yourself if you enjoy it. Last time I saw him I enjoyed a few songs but I was exceedingly irritated by the many 'pop hits' a la The One I Love, complete with bright lights flashing directly into the audience's eyes.
But don't let us put you off - I would actually love to hear that you went and had a fabulous time.

Go, you might enjoy it! I saw him last year for free for the taping Of a tv show called Live from the Artists Den, it was a good show, he did play some of the old ones.
