Hope you all had good ones. Christmas was nice with Rob's parents. Thought it might all go a bit pear shaped when rob's mum spilled a full glass of white wine onto my christmas dinner and me She was mortified but it was quite funny. She had to go and tip the wine off my plate and re-add the gravy New Year was quite funny as well, my sister and her boyfriend were at my mum's in Wales. We arrived they day after they had and my sister told us that they'd been round to the neighbours' the night before and had had a Murder Mystery Night. They all had to dress up as famous people. My mum was dressed as Marianne Faithfull, got hammered and tried to set light to the neighbours' christmas decorations, then sat on their dog and then when one of the neighbours who she doesn't like much embarked on one of his stories about real ale she interrupted him by saying "BOOOOORING!". Oh dear.... Anyway, ate a shitload, inlcuding two christmas dinners in two days and drank a lot including some seriously dodgy wine on new year's eve. New Year was quite good, we went to the neighbours and danced round their table and sang auld lang syne. Yesterday was bliss though. Sitting in a quiet warm house, catching up on everything on the Sky box (Doctor Who was a bit rubbish wasn't it), ordered a chinese and finished off the selection boxes we'd bought. I think I'm actually still full.

Sounds fun!
I watched a bunch of Doctor Who and was really sick for New Year's, so nothing too exciting for me.

I'm not that far caught up! I'm only a few episodes in to when David Tennent started being the Doctor. I watch it on Netflix Instant, but even if I was caught up, I don't currently have the BBC channel here, so I would be missing the current stuff. I'm a recent convert.

I know. Everytime I think about the "BOOOORING!" incident I start laughing.
We were also playing trivial pursuits another night after she'd had a few and she accused my sister's boyfriend of cheating and then she tried to roll one of the pies cos she thought it was the dice. She still managed to get most of her questions right though ;D

Kezzers, I would certainly invite your mum around for our parties. She'd fit right in, as we're all a bit loony Spent the afternoon at my friend's brewery stocking up on high quality ales, stouts, IPAs, Saisons and porters (it's good to work part-time at a brewery and be friends with the owner ), then spent the New Year's Eve with a few friends drinking, eating and playing table/board games. The best was some demented speed version twist on Scrabble called Banana that was hysterical especially after a few pints, which I'm sure many of you guys would love. Then we played a very funny, saucy game called The Game of Things..., which is basically a fill-in-the-blanks guessing game, where half your answers end up being rude, racy and/or utterly offensive.. again, after a few more pints New Year's Day was mostly just sitting around, relaxing and catching up the American show, Community, which I HIGHLY endorse as absurd and funny. My resolution (probably my only one) is to come here at least once a week and post. At least.

Ah our family are always looking for new games to play at get togethers so might give that a go! kez you have to get a game called... Oh crap I forget the name! It starts with a b I think! If I remember I'll come back and post the name! D'oh! On new years eve I was with my sister in Los Angeles . We went to a friend of hers home in Malibu and played a few rounds of that game that I can't remember the name of! Then at 9pm there were great fireworks on the beach and we had a perfect view off Pedro's deck! They seemed to go on forever ! Oh the game is called Blokus (pronounced block us) it's a great game, very addictive! There are 4 players, each with different color tile pieces of varying sizes. The point of the game is to get all your pieces down on the grid board. There is a catch though, they have to touch another of your pieces, but on the corners only. Meanwhile all the other players are putting their pieces down, potentially blocking your moves! Each player starts in a different corner of the board. It's harder than it sounds! The person with the fewest amount of pieces left at the end is the winner. Can't believe I forgot the name of the game! U can also get it in the app store.
