OK.....might be sticking my head above the parapet here, but does anyone else think this lot are pretty decent? www.myspace.com/thetingtingsAll fairly poppy and ephemeral - probably a one-album wonder but, hey, if you're going to be remembered for a couple of tunes, Great DJ and That's Not My Name aren't the worst to have on your CV. Am I getting soft in my old age....or what?

Sorry but i can think of only one word to describe the Ting tings: SHIT! And that 'that's not my name' garbage, is a poor excuse for a decent tune. Um, so now that i've outstayed my welcome, which way is the way out?

Naaaah, you're ice ice baby, angie. You and I just have a more highly developed musical palate than some people on here.
Either that or we're just miserable fuckers.

Ah, The Birthday Party. Turn it up Amy. And as for the Ting Tings. If they didn't have an attractive blonde singer the critics would have chased tehm out of town months ago. Preferably after setting them on fire. Even the normally reliable Alexis Petridis lost the run of himself when reviewing their album. "You don't need a degree in applied mathematics to unravel their formula. In Katie White, they boast a frontwoman so pretty you feel like giving her a round of applause just for existing. " It'd be better if he'd just had a wank over her picture in his bathroom. Less demeaning for him. Although to be fair he only gave the album three stars. music.guardian.co.uk/reviews/story/0,,2280198,00.html
