wow, sheila, that's great.......i thought you were taking pictures at the time.
yup, grievous, i can confirm that.....i read a little blurb about him. apparently his father was not in his life much growing up and the son himself was addicted to something by the time he was 15 or so. cleaned up now. he was good, i'd see him again.

Oooohhhhhh!!!! Did you tape this, Sheila? Great sound! Wow, you must have had a marvellous time there! And to think that a couple of those raggedy 'brothers' travelled around reading their poems not that many years ago... Talk about change of image and, not to forget; excellent image building!

17th October, The Brudenell Social Club, Leeds.
Literally can't wait. The BSC is a proper working men's social club. Full-on Phoenix Nights stuff, complete with glitter balls and fat northern bar maids. It's in a shitty suburb of Leeds, completely hidden away down a dodgy alleyway sandwiched between a kebab shop and a taxi rank. It's my favourite venue in Leeds by a mile. Excellent place, exactly the right atmosphere for the Felices. The sound is second to none as well.
And Kez is coming. ;D
Can't wait.

17 Oct 2009 The Brudenell Social Club, Leeds 18 Oct 2009 20:00 Whelans Dublin, Ireland 19 Oct 2009 20:00 The Glee Club Birmingham, England 20 Oct 2009 20:00 Academy 3 Manchester, England 22 Oct 2009 20:00 Shepherds Bush Empire London, England
They're playing the bleedin' SB Empire. For fuck's sake. It'll cost the earth and suck the large one.
I was planning on doing the London show, but I can't be arsed seeing them in some massive venue like that. Anyone fancy any of the others? Academy 3 is a shit hole as well but at least it's a bit more intimate. Plus, I'm planning a trip to London for my birthday 3 weeks beforehand anyway. Hmm. I would like to see them at least twice.

Great gig last night with the lovely ms doig. Kind of carnage by the end of it though of course.
Took kez to my favourite Leeds pub where we sat outside and almost froze to death, so I think she experienced some good old northern culture. Then we headed to Hyde park to a pub I'd warned her was a bit grim. Went outside to the horrible beer garden to be greeted by a host of police officers and paramedics. Turned out a bloke had just been beaten up by a gang of lads just outside the pub. Excellent timing, gave the experience some authenticity.
The brudenell was just as perfect as I expected for the felices. Ran into a guy we met at the duke and the king gig a few weeks back, lewis, nice guy. So he hung out with us all night and was very funny. Sure kez'll tell you, he got a special mention by ian felice at one point. My guitarist and his girlfriend came along too and were blown away so job done there. The felices were great of course. AA Bondy supported and was completely brilliant so I must search out some of his stuff. I think I managed to kiss all of them this time and gave farley shit for not remembering me. Clearly I'm a forgettable snog. Oh and James felice signed my forehead with permanent marker pen. Not entirely sure how that happened. Great night though. Will await kez's version of the events too.

How the fuck did I not see this! Lmao!! Yeah I remember Lewis getting a special mention, so funny. I love those moments when you think "yay I'm not the maddest person here!". He was acting like a fan at the front of a Bon Jovi gig, all punching the air to every note. Absolutely fantastic and a lovely bloke too. AA Bondy was great wasn't he? It is definitely a very special venue that, really really like it a lot. Like you said the sound is great in there and I love that the stage is slightly curved so wherever you stand at the front you can see the whole band pretty much. Also in a random moment of the evening I had my bag (which is unnecesarily huge but I loved the colour of it so I bought it and now it goes with me everywhere) on the bar and this drunken young lad was all "oh my god what the fook have you got in there?" and before I could say anything he butted in and said "is it your boyfriend all chopped up into pieces?" and I nodded and opened the bag slightly which had my jacket inside"you've got his fookin jacket in there as well!". And then 2 pints arrived for me and I said "yeah I wanted his pint and he wouldn't give it to me so I killed him and chopped him up and put him into my bag" and this bloke fell about laughing. So silly and so very strange. Anyway I came on here to say that this is on tonight: www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/the-radcliffe-and-maconie-show/OK who's betting they might mention the foreghead signing incident?

The guy I gave my Dublin ticket to asked James Felice about the head signing and apparently he laughed his head off. At bloody work so going to bloody miss the bloody radio thing.

Is it really all that weird though? It seemed perfectly normal to me at the time. He was signing stuff, I didn't have anything else on me for him to sign...
Is it more or less weird than asking David Gray to write 'fuck off' on a train ticket?
