On Later with Jools tonight. Seriously, watch if you can. He was mesmerising supporting Iron and Wine.

Viewers should note that this programme contains scenes of a Hucknall nature.

Ehhhhhhhh....how to put this, Katy? Yer man has a beard, thus exposing you as a big fickle hypocrite, my friend....
Nah, he was good alright. Really enjoyed the bluegrass guys too.....and someone tell Amy Winehouse that Sharleen Shiteri's nicked her eyelashes.

Heh, yeah granted he is a bearded type. It was very different to seeing him live. He had a guitarist and a fucking amazing drummer with him. The drum had some weird kind of effect on the sound, it was almost like hypnotic dance music in places, and the 3 all sang really close high discordant harmonies. Really intense, I had tears in my eyes. I still thought he sounded great on his own though.

Saw him last week, some proper goosebump moments during his set and the audience were amazing, so reverential and respectful, but sang along at appropriate times, too. Looking forward to seeing him in Dublin.

Gah, that's Crawdaddy, not Tripod! Tripod'd be a bit cavernous for him, I think.

Oooh there's a Bon Iver thread? (I really must learn to check out 'Music' every once in a while...)
LOVE the album. It completely blew me away, from the very first listen. Haven't felt this way about an album in a long, long time *le sigh*

Oh god, it makes my heart ache. Haven't felt that strongly about music in a long time. Will listen to the album (I love you, Hen! ) when I have pingu and then cope with his/her depressions for years

Nice one, Hen. He sounds good. One of his tunes (Skinny Love) is on the free CD with Uncut this month. Good song.

And I have tickets! I'm dragging my hairlicking friend and my boyfriend to the gig. One hasn't heard of Bon Iver and the other isn't really impressed. Hmmm.

Have now been passed the album. Judging by the reviews, I better get it loaded onto the mp3 and in the car tout suite.
