Not to my knowledge, still talk of a box set of unreleased stuff but that might never happen. Does he even have a label at the moment? I think easy tiger was supposed to be his last record with Lost Highway.
I hope he's better this time around, michael. Last time I saw him was a huge disappointment, gave the last tour a miss. I'm up for more space rock jams and dirty speeded up bastardised versions of stuff from Cold Roses and JCN when I see him live though. I don't want to hear anything off Easy Tiger or reworkings of stuff from Gold. Unfortunately I think this puts me in a minority.

Yeah? I caught him in Glasgow and Belfast and thought the latter was a great show. Too much of the jamming in Glasgow, I felt. Ah well...different strokes for different folks.
But Belfast was excellent despite sound problems that I thought would have him throwing a hissy fit. Although, mind you, he did kick his can of Diet Coke aside at one stage...the crazy gringo.
Looking forward to this one.

Saw him in Cork and it was very rockin, lots of long guitar solos and rants about spaceships and refusals to do Come Pick Me Up but in a good humoured way. Think some people found it boring but I enjoyed it.

I've only been disappointed once. Even including the night at Bridgewater Hall when he played piano with his foot and half the audience got up and walked out. The best few times were in 2006, in London twice and Manchester. But last winter when I saw him he bored the shit out of me. But then, he was recovering from a wrist injury and wasn't playing guitar, which I suppose didn't help. I like the geeky spontaneity you get at his gigs, hate it when it's so structured and they only play the nice tunes.

He did a piano one in Cork as well - that went down really well. Even when his order of a Guinness arrived, having been brought over from the pub next door when there was no bar in the venue.
If he was going to get lynched for anything it was that, lol! And he signed my copy of Gold so I was ecstatic ;D
Ooh that Dublin gig is a Saturday...

Aye, he had the piano with him a few years ago at the Waterfront in Belfast. He wrote Shadowlands that afternoon....or so he said, like. Who knows?
Then he fell off the stage the following week....ha! Eeejit.
Anyway, we'll have to grab a pint if ye make it, Kez.

You know where else he's headed.... where I'm going in a week....scratch that.... THIS TUESDAY.
*ahem*
Actually, I'm interested to know how the set's going to go, since it's him + The Cardinals, and of course, being the opener for Oasis. You know, you wonder how the cover of Wonderwall might fit in.
I've never seen him before, so hopefully he behaves himself in the right ways. Of course, it's the first date of his stint with Oasis, so who knows, might not have had time to get cranky yet.

I'm sure you'll enjoy him, Sara. Nice bonus that he's supporting the boys.
Katy, ye should hop over to Dublin if he's not doing any UK dates. That way you can also make sure Kez actually makes it over too....ha! I'm sure we can muster a few other faces for a meet-up

I keep discovering new tracks that I'd managed to look over. It always happens with him, not really anyone else on my iPod. Suddenly, The Sun Also Sets will come on and I'm like "this is a fuckin good song!". He has such a huge back catalogue I guess its bound to happen. Yeah looking forward to the album too and seeing him again, woohooo. I think for Kirsten's birthday she should fly to Dublin and see Ryan and we'll all go too

Great news there's a new album. I see the gig in Dublin is billed just as "The Cardinals" featuring Ryan Adams, Neal Casal, Brad Pemberton, etc., so he seems to be moving towards being in a group rather than the solo thing.
Heard the new single a couple of times but haven't really given it a proper listen. Sounds pretty good, though.
